My issue isn't an edge distance issue, it's a poor incidence angle (due to my failure to notice that my digital level was out of calibration). I also suffered a big blow to the confidence and have been waffling for 3 years whether to fly first or just fix it. Thank you so much for this write up as it now feels doable. I'm moving forward with the fix! I joined Civil Air Patrol last year. I'm in what's called a Senior Squadron, which does not mean old guys, although there are some. It means that we're all over 18 years old. We don't have cadets in our squadron, but we do provide what are called O-rides to cadets. Every cadet under the age of 18 gets four one-hour flights in our G1000 equipped Cessna 182. They also can fly in a CAP-owned glider. They are universally excited about aviation. I have a young friend that started as a CAP cadet, followed that up with ROTC, and now flies B-2 bombers. I remain optimistic.DaveGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16015349658680998609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7041272795548534045.post-92090664183958598152019-02-13T09:05:23.717-06:002019-02-13T09:05:23.717-06:00I find it shocking that Jan Eggenfellner retained ...I find it shocking that Jan Eggenfellner retained his A&P license after <br />taking an airplane out of it's test area with 2 hours of testing and flew it to Oshkosh. Vlad's input here wasn't to establish any design judgment on the plane, but to show poor airmanship by the pilot w.r.t aerobatics. In some cases the radio will transmit after you 'short' the PTT wire to ground and in other situations the PTT wire should be switched to a mike line with a resistor. In both cases this should be a loos button.PE2AABhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06342503539779721247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7041272795548534045.post-27440370004767252942015-02-23T11:08:52.968-06:002015-02-23T11:08:52.968-06:00What a great trip!
